[ Oh, he really does not like this, careful in his unwrapping of the bandages to see how recent they are, it's been several weeks since Dazai had come here ]
[ His arm will have scars that appear to be from a knife or something else. Some of them are over a month old, while others are faded from over a year ago. ]
I did this to me. The boss had a hard time keeping me alive for the last year.
[ He can feel his heart sink despite Dazai saying it to him again and again, not wanting to believe it even when all the evidence is laid out in front of him like this.
"Why?" he wants to ask, but he doesn't want to pry into the reasons- does he need any more of a reason, seeing what he already saw? A splash of blood and a crazed face, the numbness existing from even before.
Ayabe breathes out, placing a hand over the scars on Dazai's arm, like he could cover them and make them have never existed. ]
...Has it been any better here? Is there anything I can do?

...It's been different here. It's hard to see what makes life worth living at times, but now and then I do actually feel something. It's interesting at times.
