It wasn't originally a doll. At first it was his body.
[Off he goes--and off he stays, at least for a while. By the time he comes back, his clothes are mostly dry, though the bloodstains clearly haven't washed out completely. He has, at least, cleaned up himself as best he can with an injured arm, though when he returns, he looks tired. It's been a long day.
He's holding a small, model-sized sword in his hand when he returns, but apparently it isn't worth mentioning, because he tucks it carefully away with the rest of his belongings before he sits down on his bed. He's here, though he takes his loyalties seriously--he genuinely doesn't know how much he can share. He'll do what he can, though.]
