Not when Magnus volunteered himself or not when you think everyone should have voted for you instead?
You're right. They shouldn't have let their emotions get the best of them at a time like that. There could have been more casualties if they tied a vote and they crippled a major strength of ours. [ Lili ]
I was hoping it would be different once it was over, but the rules in place really doesn't want to make it easy.
[ ...giving her a gentle squeeze before he lets her go. Leaning back towards the fire. ]
I also believe you may have had a hand with killing Minako. I don't know if you're the paw prints we keep finding or if you're helping them out, but small feet keeps coming up.
But I don't think you would be doing it if you had a choice.
[That, at least, she says outright, and her gaze returns to the fire as Dazai lets go of her.]
...and I do not believe that anyone here wants to kill anyone. We are all simply... bound by this place's awful rules. [...] But I certainly could not blame anyone who did not see it that way.
I know. I won't hold it against you if you did kill. Between certain things being set in motion to guarantee a kill each week and that we all have someone we want to save here. It's easier for the others to swallow if they find the culprit, while I just want to know what's really going on.

[That is, perhaps, not what he was getting at.]
Well... finding a culprit is a part of knowing what is really going on, is it not? But I do think that today was... I suspect there was meant to be more at stake than simply identifying a killer.
Still, if it would have brought everyone some measure of peace... I wish that we had.

[Flayn sighs, but doesn't flinch away from the hand on her shoulder.]
Do you have any suspects, Dazai?

[Well, she doesn't seem mad about him having suspected her, at least? She doesn't really seem much of anything, other than, you know, sad.]

[Confession rules, and all. Anyone can say "I didn't do it" - but someone among them has to.]
