...

[She's quiet, as he starts picking the flowers. She's staring at the plants as if she ought to do something with them, but she can't think what.

After a moment, she nods once.]

[Flayn takes the flowers when he hands them to her, but doesn't seem to know what to do with them.]

I shall survive them. None of them are life-threatening.

[She brings up a hand to gesture at her face.]

Although, this will certainly leave a scar.

[Any other day - even yesterday! - she might have managed a laugh at that. Today, Flayn just nods slowly and just barely manages a small smile.

Thanks for trying, Dazai.]

...we saw things that were... almost from out of our memories, but twisted. There was music, and... [her brow furrows] It was... different, than the last place I broke into. There was something that seemed targeted at each one of us individually.

[After the execution, Flayn had begun avoiding people, for the most part.

Later on in the day, though - when Dazai ducks into the nurse's cabin to escape the hail - he'll find her there, her back to the entryway. She's working at cleaning out some of her wounds - specifically, the one on her back.

it's a little easier said than done, but she's reaching over with one hand to get at it anyway. The execution had aggravated it a bit; it'll need rewrapping.

She's engrossed in the work and doesn't seem to notice his arrival at first.]

[Flayn looks over her shoulder at him with muted surprise, but -

Well. It is a difficult wound to reach. So she nods.]

...yes, please. If you would not mind.

Thank you, then.

[She appreciates his help. The wound he's cleaning is the one from an arrow in her back on Thursday - it's a little roughed-up from hitting the ground and nearly getting choked out, and it definitely needs some seeing to.]

...my side is fine. It was nearly fully healed before all of that, so it did not reopen. The wound to my chest - well... I can take care of that one. It is easier to reach.

[...ah.

That's right, some of them did read the profiles, didn't they.]

A little of both...

It is probably because of the "residuals"...

[Having an explanation for it doesn't make her hate it any less though!]

...I am, as well. [BIG UGH.] At the very least, they ought to let us go so we can avoid... tainting it, or whatever it is that our presence here does.

[that

actually startles her speechless, for a few long moments. she stares at dazai, her eyes widen, and then manages:]

...you would be willing to do something like that for me...?

[She manages a small smile.]

I may ask you for one, then, at the end of this. Depending on how everything turns out, and if it truly would not trouble you.
